My Latest Project

This bike hadn't been started in over 5 years and only had 10,366 miles when I bought it. I completely rebuilt the carbs and replaced the plugs, condensers, points, and plug caps. It runs great now. I still need to change the front tire and rebuild the front forks before I really start riding it.
This bike will not be replacing the Goldwing. I just plan on riding this for that quick errand to town. I bought a bike just like this one in 1980 even the same year and color. If I can have half as much fun with this one, then it will be worth all the work!

Looks like you're having fun, Jim. You've got a great bike to play with. Seeing your new bike reminded me of how excited the motorcycle press was when Honda first introduced the 750. If I remember correctly, Harley was the only choice back then if you wanted a "big" bike, and Harleys were expensive and unreliable. The Honda 750 changed all that forever. Keep us posted on your progress.

I can see a hamburger run in this bikes future, interested? I just have it black tagged for now but I'll get insurance and a regular tag on it when I think it is safe and dependable enough to ride on the streets.

Very cool Jim. Those were from the days of people thinking
"now that's a bike bike"
(maybe a couple years after...)
I picked up a new 750, Custom as they called them, in 81. Great times as well.
Looks like a good time.

I'm always up for a hamburger run. Just say the word.

A ole buddy of mine had one....
The last time we rode with him ..
He was at a stop sign, rocking the bike back and forth with gusto..
LOL... He ran out of gas... And was trying to get the drops to move around..
He also didn't have but 1 grip on it... Had a rag wrapped as one..
Yes that day he did find one at the swap meet we all went to in Ohio...
I have always liked the lines on them ... Have fun with it ...
It sure looks clean from the photo...
