Had a great 9 day bike trip out to central CA and back with my son Nick. The weather was great for the most part. Just a tad over 3,100 miles.

I had the opportunity to share Fathers Day at my daughters new home in Vegas and spend it with both of my kids and grand kids.  Grin

I won't bore you with trip details but we had a great time and I thought I'd share a handful of pic's pulled from the bulk. I hope you enjoy them.

Ready?

First point of interest planned stop - Monument Valley

Next stop - Bryce Canyon National Park

Navajo Lake - Dixie National Forest area

My riding partner, Nick at the helm of Black Beauty

Ground Zero - my sisters newly built vacation home, Mammoth Lakes CA

Yosemite

Lake Tahoe CA & NV

June Lake Loop - it was close but we managed to survive a stampede  Shocked  The real danger was in dodging their bushels of road apples that'd been left behind.

Had to make a stop in Milburn, UT, didn't run across any relations...

Arches National Park, Moab, UT area (low to mid 90's, whew...  Undecided )

Heading toward Scenic Hwy 550, the Million Dollar Hwy - limited pictures due to the damp weather

Box Canyon Falls - Ouray, CO area

I can't swear to it but I think Nick had a good time.

He's now driving his jeep back to Southern Cal and should get home by about 3:30 am So Cal time.

That's all folks...  Wink

Looks like Nick and you had a GREAT time.  You better go check and make sure Nick didn't load Black Beauty on a trailer when you weren't looking.  He looked very comfortable on it in the pictures.

Jim - we had switched off back and forth along the trip, he seemed to have a hanker'n for the IS as the trip progressed. He did like the looks of Black Beauty better tho. FYI, I checked and they were both in the garage, in bad need of a bath!

LD - you really need to seek some help with that pack/luggage prejudice of yourn.  Wink

So who wants to stop by and help clean up the girls and pull the rear wheels to do some spline lube and o-ring replacements???  Anyone, anyone? Roll Eyes

By the way, probably didn't do more than a total of 3 hours for the entire trip on the actual Interstate (the freeway that is, not the Valk), mostly all side roads which may have taken longer than it could have but offered some great scenic touring not to mention the gas mileage!!!  Grin
