Just a quick note to say hi to the Sooner group.  I'm one of the Texas Valk riders in the DFW area and just got registered on your board.  I've been meaning to do that for a while as I get into OK for several rides a year and to the border frequently. I've ridden with a few of you before and look forward to meeting others.

Feel free to get on the TX board if you're interested in hooking up with our north Texas crew for rides.  For instance, we'll be riding to Krum, TX for breakfast tomorrow, which is only about 35 miles south of the border.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the "cold front" you guys got yesterday.  It isn't getting here.

Welcome to the Sooner State Valkyrie Riders Site, although it seems that this website has almost no activity at the time.  Maybe everybody is out riding.  This used to be a very active group and although I didn't post very much, I did check it daily and realy enjoyed the information about different rides, bikes and get togethers.  Maybe things will pick up here.  I sure hope it doesn't totally die.  Keep checking back and hopefully things here will become active once more.

Later,

Howdy Sidecar!
I spent over 15 of my 20 years in the Air Force in TX!  It feels like my second home!
I'll be on the Natchez Trace ride this Labor Day weekend with Smokin' Joe from TN.  It's setting up to be a great trip
Any interest?

Hey, Budman.  Sheppard, Lackland, Dyess or one of the others?

I think some of my riding buddies were just riding with Smokin Joe at Inzane last month.  I've met him once, but it's been some time ago.  Wish I could join you guys, but family has me booked that weekend.  I'm sure you'll enjoy the Trace and the other curvier roads that meet up with it.  Have to catch up with you another time.

Hey, Budman.  Sheppard, Lackland, Dyess or one of the others?
I was at Carswell in Ft Worth learning to fly the B-52 D-Model, then flew them at Dyess, back to Carswell as an Instructor, then over to Guam for a couple of years, back to Carswell to write training material for the B-1B, then back to Dyess to fly the B-1B.
Carswell, Dyess, Guam, Carswell, Dyess. Yeah, I did a bit of time in West TX for sure!  Roll Eyes

Thanks for serving!
