My 97 has 26000 miles with original shocks, and I belive they are only shocking me now.
I was wondering what kind of advice I could get from some of that have changed your shocks.

Thank you in advance for your replys,

If I were to replace mine, I would get a set of Progressive 13" 412's....the HD version.  But the HD depends on how much you weigh, and if you ride two-up quite a bit.

Hopefully someone with some direct experience will chime in and give some input....

I also have a 97, I put on progressive 440 and progressive front springs. Absolutly no regrets. Do not wait to long to replace. Screwed up my neck when those back shocks bottomed out in front of the Wal-Mart in Alva.  One problem, I have the Corbin bags and adjusting them is somewhat of a pain

I have ran 440 Progressives for 4 years now and have them on both a tourer and a I/S.  I never adjust them.  I have them set showing two rings at the top. Mine work super and have never given me any problems.  be sure that you use the HD springs on the I/s and the std springs on the std/tourers.
I have a new pair of 12" 440's for sale if anyone needs them. Email me if you are interested.  great for short legged riders.
