Finally broke down and ordered a 6 bank isolated power supply. Thanks to Mase for the link/source. Installed fairly easily, even for the electrically challenged (only blew two fuses in the process).

Fit well in the battery compartment, taking over the owners manual section, still leaving enough room for the basic tools that come in handy when you've dropped the saddle bags on those short runs.

I've now hooked up my hidden air horns and also finally installed my power outlet. Thanks to Curley Wolf for the install location and source.

I'm looking for an insulator for the back of the power outlet (cigarette type adapter). I thought something like a plastic or rubber boot, similar to that used for a wiring harness. This will be used to protect the rear of the power outlet from the weather, baths, etc.

Any suggestions will be appreciated?Huh Checked all the local auto parts and hardware supply types.

Here's a shot of the power outlet install/location.

Looks good Gary.  I need to get one of the fuse blocks myself.  I've got WAY too many loose fuse holders behind the right side cover.

I installed CurleyWolf's accessory plug for him while we were in Prescott.  I really like the way it turned out.  I've got one of those plastic jobs thats just stuck on with double sided tape.  Of course, it was quick and dirty because I did mine while I was in Zanesville after having a flat tire on the road.  I need to get one like yours and do it right.

How bout the link for the fuse holder?  I remember Mase posting it, but didn't save the link.

Ordered one of those fuse blocks today. A well overdue project for me....

http://www.vpaccessories.com/accessories.htm

I got the deluxe model with 6 fuses/relays.  That should help clean up that mess of individual fuse holders and relays I have shoved in behind the side cover.

3 sets of extra driving lights, air horns, led's, accessory plug....makes for a mess. Cheesy

Good point! I had to change out my horn relay and had hooked it up wrong at first, or uh, at second.

By the way Mike and Janet, I thought I saw you two on my way back from AR, possibly last October. Heading west on I-40, on a non-Valk product,  somewhere around eastern OK? I think I realized it could have been you two a bit "farther on up the road". Do you recall seeing a black and chrome std with an extrememly good looking driver?  Cheesy

Hell I rode with you that weekend and I didn't see any good looking drivers on a black and chrome std.

By the Way, when was the last time you actually used any tools while on the highway with a Valk.

Flat tires don't count. neither does adding chrome[/quote]

Sept. of 1999 in Springfield, Mo.  My valk died a horible death in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn.  I spent 6 hours, and used damn near every tool in the kit.  Never did get it to go....  Honda of Springfield towed it in and it cost me $100 for them to find a bad ground connection.  The ground cable for the battery(not battery end) was way down behind the alternator, and it wasn't making a connection.  I couldn't get to it with what little tools I had....

Second time?  When my starter switch failed up on the talemina drive.  Took it apart in McAlester and fixed it......

Yea but your is a Burble bike!

I guess i've been lucky, haven't used mine except to add chrome. I've carried a lot of extra tools but never needed them yet.

Got another bite on the Standard, hopefully I can reel this one in.

Hmmmmm well being EXTREMELY good looking myself I would surely have noticed another EXTREMELY good looking driver. Butttt the all the chrome from my Hardley Dangerous had me blinded at that very moment.
