Whats with the silent treatment? Surely Valentines day wasn't THAT bad was it?

Scott, those of us who are married know EXACTLY what Valentine's Day is for -- another opportunity for men to fail to do things like they do on soap operas and/or Hallmark commercials, thus setting ourselves up for the wrath of the Little Woman .... I'm just now over my frying-pan injuries to the point I can type again ....

Tim's House:
Saturday Feb. 14
Wife: "Goodmorning dear, what a beautiful day!"
Tim: "Goodmorning. Why yes it is now that you mention it."
Wife: "Any plans for today?"
Tim: "Well, since its such a nice day out I thought I'd go ride the ole Valkyrie. She's so lonely out there in the garage yanno."
Wife: "Are you sure you want to ride today? "
Tim: "Sure am, its been three days since I rode her last...."

For Valentine's Day I got Wifey her very own subscription to Field & Stream. Then I didn't complain ONE BIT when supper was 5 minutes late. Then to top it off I complimented her by mentioning she's now only 35 pounds heavier than her sister. Boy, you'd think any woman would be THRILLED to have a romantic guy like me! Go figure ......
